Yes. As long as your floors have enough wood thickness to be sanded, you can change the color during a full refinishing project.
Can all wood species be stained to any color?
Most species accept stain well, but some — like maple — are dense and do not absorb stain evenly. We test stain on a small area during the estimate to confirm the result.
Can I see stain samples before committing?
Yes. We bring a range of stain samples to the estimate visit and can apply a test patch on your actual floor so you can see exactly how the color will look.
Can I go from dark floors to light floors?
Going lighter is more challenging than going darker. Sanding removes the existing stain, but some species may retain a slight color cast. We assess this during the estimate.
